No one was sure how long the tiny wooden box was down there or if it was placed intentionally. If you stood by the edge of the well looking down, you would be staring into the abyss. No light seemed to radiant down the well even at high noon. It was dead silent and black as tar. Only the foolish would be arrogant enough to make a wish and pull up that old rusty bucket.
