The Plague Doctor
This is a reputed survivor of the great plagues of 17th century England. Plague doctors and other “public health officials” used these small books, cheaper than paper when the dead were so plentiful and perhaps safer, to record names, last rites or other day-to-day-data of death. Some say the spirits of the dead still haunt this book.
Each comes with two gimmicks, one magnetic, which allows for two message/switches to be revealed in each performance. The slate books are 4 by 6 inches and can hold tarot cards for switches, spirit writing and and other effects. With an inside space of 3/4 inch, it can hold chalk, cards, or other items inside as well.
The books are made to order, but shipping within 10 days of ordering is guaranteed.
